Is this Kia battery price normal or am I being taken for a ride?
So I've been driving my Sportage for about four years now and it's been absolutely solid, no issues at all until this week when I went to start it and got that dreaded slow crank that tells you the battery is on its way out. I managed to get it going with a jump from my neighbor but I know that's just a temporary fix and I need to get a new battery sorted ASAP before I end up stranded somewhere. I called a few places around Sharjah to get quotes and honestly I was pretty shocked at the prices, especially from one garage that quoted me almost triple what I was expecting. I mean, I know batteries aren't cheap but this seemed really excessive for a Kia. I started wondering if they were trying to take advantage because I'm clearly not a mechanic and I probably sound confused on the phone.
